Honey Cake

Introduction

Honey cake, good for Jewish New Year.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 100g walnuts, roughly cut

Method

  • Beat eggs
  • Add sugar and mix
  • Add all dry ingredients and mix
  • Add oil, honey and water and mix until combined
  • Add brandy and nues
  • Cook at 160C in fan forced oven for 50-60 minutes
